Keele Street Public School is located in the High Park area near Bloor and Keele Streets. The school has approximately 492 students. The majority of the students speak languages other than English at home and come from various Eastern European backgrounds. Keele Public School offers Kindergarten to Grade 8 programs. The school shares space with Mountview Alternative School, Keelmount Daycare Centre, and the Keele Community Centre and swimming pool. The site is used also for International Language classes in Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Romanian, German and Mandarin-Simple and on the evenings and weekends for community recreational and pool activities.

High Park North is mainly residential, containing many semi-detached homes built in the early 20th century. The oldest residential houses in High Park North were built in the late 1800s and early 1900s and are mostly Victorian, Edwardian and Tudor-style. The houses are typically two- and three-storey, built with detached brick.
