We, the Catholic community of St. Monica, are dedicated partners in the lifelong education of our students. Guided by the Spirit to grow as a family, we will continue to foster, spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional development to ensure that future generations are well prepared for all challenges on their journey.

CATHOLIC FOCUS

St. Monica Catholic Elementary School, located in Brampton at 60 Sterritt Drive, opened in September 1998 and was blessed on April 11, 1999. St. Monica is the Patroness of troubled parents, married women and widows. Her feast day is celebrated on August 27. St. Monica the mother of St. Augustine recognized Augustine's extraordinary gifts and tried to give him the best education possible. She wanted to see him use his gifts for God and the Catholic faith. After many years of prayers, fasting and crying, God answered her prayers and her son, St. Augustine gave up everything and became God's faithful servant. As such, our school is an extension of our parish, St. Jerome. St. Monica Catholic School provides an entire faith filled program creating responsible, discerning and life-long Christian learners. The school population of approximately 435 students reflects and embraces Brampton’s cultural and socioeconomic diversity. Our school offers an Extended French program in grades 5 to 8, with approximately 130 students participating. We have a Severe Needs Class inclusive of 8 students. St. Monica Staff and School Council are committed to differentiation and "Education For All!"
