Westacres Public School has a long tradition of excellence. Since the school was built in 1954, it has taken great pride in being very community oriented. The annual June fairs have continued on the first Saturday in June since 1954! In partnership with parents and students, staff are committed to academic excellence and building a strong sense of character within all students. The Lakeview neighbourhood is located in the southeast corner of Mississauga, with Lake Ontario as its southern boundary. Most homes in Lakeview single-detached, older homes, built before the 1980s, and are in a variety of ages and architectural styles. A golf course is located in the northeast region of Lakeview, and the Etobicoke Creek forms the eastern border. A parcel of industrial land in this area is planned for development of a lakefront community of townhomes, condos, restaurants, office space, and lakefront walkways and park lands.
