MULTILITERACIES RESEARCH (YORK-SSHRC)
Joyce teachers (in partnership with Dr. Heather Lotherington and Dr. Jennifer Jenson from York University) research meaningful and relevant literacy development using an inclusive, multi-literacies project approach that incorporates traditional literacies, and the strengths of our digitally socialized, multilingual, and multicultural population. This approach puts children and their parents at the centre of their learning, and champions and uses the strengths, talents and gifts of the children to promote academic success.
