About Étienne Brûlé Junior School

Étienne Brûlé JPS is a small community school located at Parklawn and Berry Road. Our school was built in 1957 and named after the French explorer Étienne Brûlé, who was the first European explorer to reach the mouth of the Humber River and set foot in the vicinity now known as Toronto. Étienne Brûlé serves approximately 150 students, representing almost 40 different language groups. Humber Bay Child Care is housed in the school building.

Étienne Brûlé Junior School is located in Stonegate-Queensway

The Queensway–Humber Bay, known officially as Stonegate-Queensway, is located in the south-east of the former City of Etobicoke. Mimico Creek runs through the neighbourhood. This community includes 1950s era low-rise apartment buildings and an old turn-of-the century market garden community which was absorbed by the city as it grew. The bulk of the houses in The Queensway are two bedroom brick bungalows as well as storey-and-a-half homes constructed in the 1940s and 1950s. These buildings sit on good size lots and include private driveways and garages.
